Women’s World Cup moved from Bangladesh, announcement anytime

Women’s T20 World Cup is moving out of Bangladesh. This year’s event is going to be held in the United Arab Emirates. According to Cricbuzz, only an official announcement is yet to come. An official announcement could come anytime.

The ICC board meeting was held on Tuesday. The board heads of most of the participating countries objected to hosting the World Cup in Bangladesh. According to them, it is not right to organize a mega event like the World Cup now in the political unrest in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has already agreed to this.

The hot condition of Bangladesh is prevailing for more than one and a half months. Sheikh Hasina’s government fell on August 5 after 36 consecutive days of agitation. After that, an interim government was formed, but the country is still not completely normal.

In addition, 5 countries that will participate in the World Cup have banned visas to visit Bangladesh. As a result, it was certain that the World Cup will not be held in Bangladesh. However, judging by the experience, Bangladesh got some extra time. But in the end nothing saved the end.
