He posted a recovery journey video on his Instagram account, being a cricketer for Mumbai Indians. In the transformation video, Surya is first seen in a wheelchair. His fractured hand is also visible. Then there are workout pictures. The caption of that video reads, “Recovery is progressing in the right direction.”
Surya kumar suffered an injury during the T20 series against South Africa last December. Surgery was done on him. He started rehab at Bengaluru. Then there was surgery in Munich, Germany. He’s making a desperate attempt to return to the field.
He is an important part of the Mumbai Indians team. In the last season of IPL, he scored 605 runs in 16 matches. Among them were one century and five half-centuries. He was the top scorer for Mumbai. Under Surya’s leadership, India won the T20 series against South Africa 4-1 before the South Africa series.
