Warner and Conway were ruled out of the final match of the T20 series

Both star batters from Australia and New Zealand got injured from the last match of the three-match T20 series between Australia and New Zealand. Both of them won’t be able to play due to injury.

During the second match of the series, Conway suffered a blow. He won’t be playing the 3’rd T20i match for New Zealand if he doesn’t recover in time. He injured his finger while keeping. As a result, he couldn’t bat when New Zealand was chasing. Conway will return to Wellington, and a specialist will assess the extent of his injury.

As a replacement for Conway, New Zealand has included another wicketkeeper-batsman, Tim Seifert. Seifert was not in the squad himself but passed a fitness test in Hamilton to join the team for the final T20I at Eden Park.

Additionally, due to a hamstring injury, Rachin Ravindra missed the second match and his availability for the final match will be monitored for the next 24 hours before a decision is made.

Not only New Zealand but Australia has also suffered an injury setback. Experienced Opening batter David Warner got injured. Consequently, he won’t be playing in the final match of the series. Cricket Australia has assured that his participation in the upcoming IPL and T20 World Cup in March will not be affected.

It’s worth mentioning that Australia has won the first two matches of the three-match T20 series. With a lead of 2-0, Australia has taken the series, leaving the visiting team in distress.
