Allegations of toss tampering have surfaced in the ongoing IPL. Serious allegations of toss tampering have been made against match referee Javagal Srinath in the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians High-Voltage Clash. A video during the toss has gone viral on social media.
Last Thursday, Mumbai Indians faced off against Royal Challengers Bangalore in a high-voltage match at the Wankhede Stadium. It is alleged that the match referee assisted the home team, Mumbai, in winning the toss, according to some Indian supporters.
A video has surfaced on social media showing Srinath picking up the coin after the toss. It is claimed that Srinath turned the coin in his hand after picking it up, resulting in the toss favoring Hardik Pandya. Many on social media are writing that the toss was ‘fixed’ in that match. Another video from a different angle during the toss is being shared on social media with one person writing, “A clear video of the toss. Even then if you have doubts, you can go to the eye hospital or the mental hospital.”
Many have expressed anger, saying that extra privileges have been given to Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya in the home match, allowing him to choose his preferred bowling or batting. That day, Mumbai won the match just like they won the toss. Mumbai captain Hardik Pandya had decided to bowl first against Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli at the Wankhede Stadium. Initially batting, RCB scored 196 runs with 8 wickets. And in reply, Mumbai won the match with 7 wickets remaining with 27 balls to spare.
