In the CWC Match of India vs Bangladesh on July 2nd, 2019, India defeated Bangladesh by 28 runs. Rohit Sharma’s excellent innings of 104 and Jasprit Bumrah’s 4 wickets steered India to victory. However, Bangladesh showed competitive spirits, but a fracture in the batting lineup led to the defeat. 2nd ODI at Mirpur, Bangladesh
On December 4, 2022, Bangladesh opened the ODI series (India Tour of Bangladesh) with a victory over India. Three days later, on December 7th, Bangladesh sealed the series with another victory. This time, Bangladesh decided to bat first after winning the toss. Thanks to Mehedi Hasan’s century and Mahmudullah’s innings of 77 runs, Bangladesh totaled 271 runs. In Response, India could only manage 266 runs in 50 Overs. Ebadat Hossain kept the Indian batters in check with his pace attacks, resulting in a Bangladesh win by 5 runs.
4th ODI at Chittagong, Bangladesh
India came back strong with a record-shattering total of 409 runs at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. Bangladesh failed to get anywhere near, scoring only 182 runs in 34 Overs. Ishan Kishan’s huge knock of 210 runs and Virat Kohli’s 113 runs ensured India’s massive total of 409 runs. Ishan received the Player of the Match title for his Double Century.
5th ODI at Colombo, Sir Lanka
With the World Cup looming, Bangladesh secured a 6-run victory over India on September 15, 2023. India sent Bangladesh to bat first after winning the toss. Bangladesh collected 265 runs in 50 Overs. Shakib Al Hasan’s 80 runs and a surprising 44 runs from Nasum ensured a formidable 265 runs. In reply, India’s constant wicket falls and slow run rates reduced their chance of winning. Mustafiz shined with the ball and took 3 wickets.

According to recent statistics, it’s apparent that Bangladesh is indeed ahead of India. However, in Cricket World Cup encounters, Bangladesh only won one match in the 2007 CWC.
