India’s Anticipated World Cup Squad :
India has announced a “much talked-about and anticipated” team for the upcoming T20 World Cup, featuring players from the United States and the West Indies. Rohit Sharma will lead the team of 15 members as usual. Following New Zealand, South Africa, and England, India’s board has named them as the fourth team for the World Cup squad.
Rishabh Pant, who was sidelined due to a car accident for a long time, has been included in the World Cup squad. Lokesh Rahul and Ishan Kishan, both wicketkeeper-batsmen, are also part of the squad.
India has reserved the most players, with four reserves. The prominent name among them is the right-handed opener Shubman Gill. Additionally, Rinku Singh, left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed, and right-arm pacer Avesh Khan will accompany the team as reserves.
In Group A, India’s perennial rival Pakistan awaits them. Alongside them are Ireland, Canada, and co-hosts the United States. Before facing Pakistan, the team will travel to Ireland to play against them on June 5.
