Tamim Iqbal is set to return to competitive cricket after a long break. He is making his comeback through the National League T20. He will represent Chattogram in this tournament.
Tamim last played a professional match in May during the Dhaka Premier League. He has not been part of the national team for an even longer period, and he was not seen in the ongoing National Cricket League (NCL) either.
After a long six-month hiatus, Tamim has begun preparing to return to the field. He started practicing a few days ago. Although many assumed that he was preparing for the upcoming BPL, this is not the case.
Tamim is set to return to the 22-yard pitch soon with the bat. He will play in the National Cricket League (NCL) T20. Although he won’t play all the matches, he will be seen in five games representing Chattogram.
While the schedule is yet to be finalized, it is known that the National League T20 tournament will begin on December 11, with the final match to be held on December 23. The league stage matches will be played at the Sylhet International Stadium.
The semifinal and final matches will take place either at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka, or at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
