The veteran Bangladeshi opener batter Tamim Iqbal will not make it to the World Cup despite the recent viral TVC floating around the internet.
According to some confidential sources, rumours of Tamim Iqbal’s participation in CWC ’23 were floating around. However, Tamim Iqbal is not Included in the CWC 2023 squad for Bangladesh, and he never left for India.

Rumours about his participation started spreading after a heartfelt TVC featured Shakib Al Hasan & Tamim Iqbal. In the TVC, they shared some backstories of their early days of cricketing career. However, the TVC Doesn’t Suggest anywhere that Tamim Iqbal will play in the CWC ’23. Despite such a clear message, rumours about his participation spread anyway, even from some reputable sources.
Currently, CWC ’23 is in motion, and no change is realistically possible. Of course, a vast partition of fans would love to see Tamim Iqbal playing the CWC ’23, but nothing but an unrealistic desire at this point. Bangladesh team is set to play their first match on 7th October against Afghanistan. The CWC begins today with an opening match between New Zealand and England.
