Shanto Missing from ODI Series; Afif Returns Under Miraz’s Leadership

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the squad for the upcoming ODI series against the West Indies. With regular captain Najmul Hossain Shanto yet to fully recover from his injury, Mehidy Hasan Miraz will lead the team. Afif Hossain Dhrubo returns to the squad after a year, while Parvez Hossain Emon is the new face in the lineup.

The 15-member squad was announced today, Monday.

In addition to Shanto, Towhid Hridoy has also been ruled out due to injury. Zakir Hasan has been dropped from the team.

The white-ball series between the two teams will kick off with the first ODI on December 8. The second ODI will follow on December 10, with the final match scheduled for December 12. All matches will take place at Warner Park in St. Kitts.
