The second-highest score was 33 runs from Virat Kohli’s bat. Besides these, Mahipal contributed 32 runs. No other batsman managed to score significantly.
Rajasthan started well in their chase. However, the opening partnership of 46 runs was broken with the dismissal of Tom Kohler-Cadmore for 20 runs.
Then, Yashasvi Jaiswal formed a 35-run partnership with captain Sanju Samson. The left-handed opener stopped at 45 runs off 30 balls.
Samson also departed after scoring 17 runs in the tenth over of the innings. Dhruv Jurel’s quick dismissal for 8 runs put Rajasthan under some pressure.
However, Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer’s batting helped Rajasthan move forward. Parag scored 36 runs off 26 balls and Hetmyer made 26 runs off 14 balls, setting the stage for victory. Later, Rovman Powell ensured the win by scoring 14 runs in the 19th over bowled by Lockie Ferguson. Powell remained unbeaten on 16 runs from 8 balls.
