According to a report by the cricket website ESPN Cricinfo, Dravid has recently signed a contract with Rajasthan Royals ahead of the upcoming mega IPL auction. He has also had initial discussions with the franchise management regarding player retention. Dravid shares a good understanding with the team’s current captain, Sanju Samson, who was under his mentorship during his Under-19 days.
Dravid has spent most of his coaching career with Rajasthan Royals, and he is now returning to his old team. However, neither the franchise nor Dravid has made any official statements about this yet.
Dravid was the head coach of Rajasthan Royals during the 2012 and 2013 seasons. He then served as the team’s director and mentor during the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
