Hardik Pandya has reclaimed the top position in the ICC T20I all-rounder rankings, overtaking England’s Liam Livingstone. This marks the second time the Indian all-rounder has reached the No. 1 spot. The ICC released its weekly update of men’s player rankings on Wednesday.
Although Hardik Pandya did not deliver extraordinary performances in the T20I series against South Africa, his contributions with both bat and ball were significant enough to help India secure the series win. As a result, Pandya made a remarkable leap in the rankings, now holding 244 rating points.
Previously, Liam Livingstone was ranked No. 1, but after the five-match series against the West Indies, his rating dropped to 230, placing him in the third position. Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Airee remains in second place with 231 rating points.
Apart from Pandya, several other Indian players have also made notable progress in the rankings. Tilak Varma, who scored 280 runs, including two centuries, in the series against South Africa, has climbed 69 spots to secure the third position among batsmen.
The top two batting positions remain unchanged, with Australia’s Travis Head at No. 1 and England’s Phil Salt at No. 2. Similarly, the top two T20I bowlers also retain their positions, with England’s Adil Rashid leading the pack, followed by Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga.
