Pakistan is hopeful about the Champions Trophy

The ICC is satisfied with the preparations and security measures, and Pakistan is hopeful about the Champions Trophy. A delegation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) has visited Pakistan to assess the security arrangements. Initially, the representatives have expressed their satisfaction, and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is optimistic about hosting next year’s tournament.

Several stadiums in Pakistan are undergoing renovations for next year’s Champions Trophy. The ICC has sent a five-member delegation to Pakistan to review the preparations and security arrangements. The team is led by the ICC’s Senior Manager of Events, Sarah Edgar.

The ICC representatives have inspected the preparations and security measures in Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad. On Saturday, they will visit Lahore to conduct a thorough inspection there as well. The delegation members have also held meetings with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.

Initially, the ICC delegation is satisfied. According to ICC sources, they have indicated that there is no issue with hosting the Champions Trophy in Pakistan. However, the ICC delegation will submit a final report after returning to Dubai.

It is still uncertain whether the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will send a team to Pakistan for next year’s Champions Trophy. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah is set to take over as ICC Chairman in December, and the cricket world is keenly watching his decision regarding the complex India-Pakistan situation. However, it is believed that the ICC’s report on security will be reassuring for Pakistan.
