Pakistan announces a strong team to stop Bangladesh

After losing the first match of the series in Rawalpindi, Pakistan is desperate to bounce back. The team has already started preparing for that. They want to get back into the series at any cost, so they’ve made changes to the team. Players who were not in the squad for the first Test have been brought back.

After losing the Test match to Bangladesh, the Pakistan cricket team faced heavy criticism. Former cricketers are severely criticizing Babar and Shaheen’s performances. They cannot digest such a massive defeat by 10 wickets.

In this situation, the second Test will start tomorrow (Friday), which can also be called the series-deciding Test. Pakistan announced a 17-member squad for the match last Wednesday. Abrar Ahmed, Kamran Ghulam, and Aamer Jamal have been brought back into the team.

In the first Test against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi, Pakistan did not include any specialist spinner, considering the conditions. Although Abrar Ahmed was in the squad, he was sent to play for the A team. However, it was the spinners who changed the course of that match. Shakib Al Hasan and Mehedi Hasan Miraz shone for Bangladesh.

In this scenario, questions have arisen about Pakistan’s selection. Yet, Abrar Ahmed was playing for Pakistan A during this period, where he took 4 wickets against Bangladesh. As a result, the Pakistan Cricket Board has brought him back into the team.

On the other hand, Kamran, who was awaiting his Test debut, was also in the squad for the first Test against Bangladesh. However, he was later released to play for the A team, where he didn’t perform exceptionally well, but he is still being recalled to the main team.

Kamran is quite famous in domestic cricket. He has scored 4,377 runs in 59 first-class matches so far, with 16 centuries and 20 fifties, and an average of 49.17. He has also taken 28 wickets with his left-arm spin.

Due to injury, Aamer Jamal was dropped from the squad for the first Test, and it was said that he would miss the entire series. However, after just one match, Pakistan recalled him.

Pakistan squad for the second Test: Shan Masood (captain), Saud Shakeel, Aamer Jamal, Abrar Ahmed, Abdullah Shafique, Babar Azam, Kamran Ghulam, Khurram Shahzad, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Huraira, Mohammad Rizwan, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shaheen Shah Afridi.
