Oshane Thomas sets a record for conceding the most runs off a single ball

In an unbelievable feat during the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Oshane Thomas achieved this while playing for Khulna Tigers against Chattogram Kings. He conceded the most runs ever off a single delivery in cricket.

On Tuesday, at Mirpur, Khulna Tigers faced Chattogram Kings. After losing the toss, Khulna batted first and posted a massive total of 203 runs for 4 wickets. However, while defending this target, Oshane Thomas created an embarrassing record in the very first over.

Bowling the first over for his team, Thomas conceded 15 runs off a single ball! This earned him a place in the record books, as no one had ever given away more runs than this from one ball in recognized cricket. The previous record was held by Sikandar Raza, who had conceded 13 runs.

On the first ball of the innings, Thomas dismissed Naim Islam. However, it was later revealed to be a no-ball. Although Naim survived, he couldn’t score off the subsequent free hit. But on the next delivery, Naim smashed a six – only for it to be another no-ball.

Thomas seemed a bit nervous, bowling two no-balls in the first three deliveries. He then bowled two consecutive wide balls, bringing the score to 10 runs off a single ball. But it didn’t end there – he bowled another no-ball on the next delivery, which Naim hit for a boundary. This set the record for the most runs off one ball.

Even after conceding 15 runs off the first ball, Thomas bowled another no-ball in the same over. Coincidentally, Naim was dismissed on that delivery as well, but luck was on his side, and he survived once again. However, this luck didn’t last long, as Thomas dismissed Naim just one delivery later.

Despite Thomas’s chaotic over, Khulna secured a big win, defeating Chattogram by 37 runs. Following this over, Khulna’s captain Mehidy Miraz decided not to bring Thomas back for bowling again.
