Bangladeshi pacer Mustafizur Rahman, who went unsold in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, has now registered for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) auction. According to the schedule, the PSL auction is set to take place on January 11 next year.
Last Wednesday, PSL authorities confirmed through social media that Mustafiz has registered for the auction. The Bangladeshi pacer has played in the PSL once before. In 2018, he represented Lahore Qalandars, taking four wickets in five matches at an economy rate of 6.43.
The upcoming PSL season is expected to be held between April and May, featuring six teams competing across 34 matches. Islamabad United, the defending champions, clinched the title last season by defeating Multan Sultans in the final.
Last November, during the two-day IPL mega auction held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Mustafiz’s name came up on the second day with a base price of INR 2 crore. However, no teams showed interest, leaving him unsold.
