Multan Sultans reaching the final for the fourth time

Yesterday in first qualifier match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Peshwar Zalmi suffered a major setback, losing to Peshawar Zalmi by a big margin of 7 wickets, Sultans reaching the final for the fourth time. Winning the toss and opting to bat in Karachi, Peshawar lost a wicket in the first over of the innings. Opening batter Saim Ayub fell to David Willey’s delivery. Despite Babar Azam’s efforts on the other end, they couldn’t significantly increase the strike rate. The next batters also failed.

With 7 wickets down, they managed to score 146 runs. Babar top-scored for the team, making 46 runs off 42 balls. Despite five boundaries in the innings of Peshawar’s captain, their total wasn’t enough for a comfortable T20 win.

In response, Multan Sultans, in exchange for 3 wickets in 18.3 overs, accumulated the necessary 147 runs for victory. Therefore, with 9 balls remaining and 7 wickets in hand, Multan secured their place in the final for the fourth time in the Pakistan Super League, leading the franchise to the final.
