He tweeted, “We didn’t want the IPL to end this way. However, we have learned a lot from this season. There are some memories to cherish. I spent three years with a beautiful family. I will never forget this journey. Many thanks to the supporters who have always stood by us.”
Gill’s tweet has fueled rumors. With the mega auction coming up next year in the IPL, many are wondering if this was Gill’s farewell speech. Gill has been with Gujarat since the team’s inception and took over the captaincy after Hardik Pandya left.
