The series between Australia and the West Indies is nearing its end on Australian soil. After the Test and One Day series, the two-match T20 series is coming to a close. With a win in the first match, the Aussies have secured the series victory.
Before the final T20 match, Australia has made changes to their squad. Young batter Jack Fraser-McGurk has been included in the squad for the final T20 match in Perth. Additionally, pacer Wes Agar has been included in the team. Although both of them have debuted in One Day Internationals, they are yet to debut in T20Is. Hence, both of them could taste international T20 debut in the final match of the series.
Agar has been included in the squad as a replacement for Josh Hazlewood. Hazlewood has returned home after the second T20I to prepare for the New Zealand tour. In his place, Wes Agar has been included in the squad. Moreover, fast bowler Xavier Bartlett, who took four wickets in the recent One Day series, has been added to the squad as well. He too could make his T20 debut in Perth.
Fraser-McGurk has also tasted success in the One Day series. He played an impressive inning, scoring 41 runs off 18 balls in Canberra. Just a few days ago, Fraser-McGurk set a world record by scoring the fastest fifty in List A cricket, taking only 29 balls. Despite not being in the team’s plans for the T20 World Cup, his progress is being closely monitored by Australian cricket.
Tomorrow, on February 13th, Australia and the West Indies will play the third and final T20 match of the three-match series in Perth. The match will begin at 11:00 AM local time. With a 2-0 lead in the series, Australia has already secured the series victory.
