Amidst a transformative political shift driven by student and public movements, this year’s Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is set to celebrate the spirit of a youthful Bangladesh. Paying tribute to the July Revolution, the BPL mascot has been artistically designed and named ‘Dana 36’, symbolizing resilience in freedom and sportsmanship.
The mascot was unveiled on Sunday, December 1, at the InterContinental Hotel during the launch of the ‘Festival of Youth 2025: Building a New Bangladesh.’
Significance of ‘Dana 36’
The name “Dana” (meaning wings) represents freedom, peace, vibrancy, celebration, and endless possibilities in a new Bangladesh.
The mascot’s 36 colorful feathers, 18 on each side, symbolize the unforgettable memories of the July 36 student-public movement.
