ICC has published a list of umpires for the upcoming Cricket World Cup according to their classifications. These umpires will be in charge of handling League Stage matches. According to ICC, match officials for the Semi-final and final will be declared later in the tournament. A total of 20 Match Officials will be handling the tournament. Among these 20 officials, 12 are from the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires. Some of them are well known for their umpiring prowess. This list contains names of umpires who were once actively playing Cricket on international stages; their reputation is well printed in the Cricket universe.
Emirates Elite Panel
This Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires contains three umpires from England. Representing from England are Michael Gough, Richard Illingworth, and Richard Kettleborough. Representing Australia are Paul Reiffel and Rodney Tucker. From South Africa are Adrian Holdstock and Marais Erasmus. Joel Wilson, Ahsan Raza, Nitin Menon, Christopher Gaffaney, and Kumar Dharmasena represent the West Indies, Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka, respectively.
ICC Emerging Panel & Elite Panel of Match Referees
Aside from the Elite List, the other list is classified as the ICC Emerging Umpire Panel. This panel has Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid from Bangladesh, Paul Wilson from Australia, Alex Wharf from England, and Chris Brown from New Zealand. Like the Elite Panel, they will also handle important matches. The remaining four personnel are Match Referees from the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees. In this prestigious panel, we have Jeff Crowe from New Zealand), Andy Pycroft from Zimbabwe, Richie Richardson from West Indies, and Javagal Srinath from India.
