ICC has announced the ICC World Cup XI after the successful completion of CWC 2023. Surprisingly, few players from the Champion Australian team made the list, while many from the runners-up team were included.

After dominating the entire tournament from the start, the Indian cricket team has been the hot favorite for the final clash. India finished the group stage with nine consecutive victories with no loss in their books. However, against Australia in the final, team India did not live up to the expectations and failed to mount any challenge.

ICC named Rohit Sharma as the captain of this XI, with de Kock as the wicketkeeper. The bowling side is entirely dominated by Indian bowlers like Shami, Bumrah, and spin bowler Jadeja. Only two Australians from the champion squad are on the list, and they are Adam Zampa & Glenn Maxwell. Kiwi batter Daryl Mitchell is also included in the list.

Excluded from the list are players from England, Bangladesh, Afghanistan & Netherlands.
