Today at Mumbai, South Africa not only thrashed England but also added some insult to the injury. Klaasen, Jansen, and Hendricks carried South Africa to a monumental score of 399 runs. All three of them maintained Strike Rates above 100, with Klaasen’s being the highest at 162.69. This trio rendered the British bowlers ineffective and kept them happy with last-minute wickets.

In response, the British batters broke down under pressure. A heroic last stand by Mark Wood (43) and Gus Atkinson (35) could not salvage the sunken British ship. The entire British top and middle order did not even survive 15 Overs of Protea bowling aggressions. Gerald Coetzee, Marco Jansenand Lungi Ngidi consistently sent British batters to the dressing room. Heinrich Klaasen’s much deserved 109 runs innings earned him the Player of the Match title. In 22 Overs, England collected 170 runs and lost all of its wickets in the process. After this match, South Africa is currently 3rd in the Point Table while England is left between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan in 9th Position.
