As of now, India is unarguably the most dominating team in the World Cup. Today at Bengaluru, India marked an end to their group stage with a victory over Netherlands. A fantastic opening performance by Rohit & Gill gave India a huge headstart of 100 runs in 11.4 Overs. Shortly after, KL Rahul and Shreyas produced another meaningful partnership of 208 runs to insert total dominance in the field. Ultimately, India set a massive target of 410 runs for the Dutch to chase.
Under the floodlights, the Dutch batters tried their best to chase the target, but they fell short by 160 runs. Predictable yet furious pace attacks from the Bumrah-Siraj duo kept the Dutch batters restricted during Powerplays. Aside from Teja Nidamanuru’s half-century, other Dutch batters lagged behind with no notable share in the total run. After 47.5 Overs, Netherlands lost all 10 wickets for 250 runs, a far cry from the target total of 410 runs.

Shreyas received the Player of the Match title for his excellent batting spell of 128* runs. Besides him, other batters, including KL Rahul (102) & Rohit Sharma (61), also assisted from their ends. Additionally, Indian bowlers were very effective at keeping the run rate below the required amount. Consequently, Dutch batters were forced to make mistakes, resulting in random wicket falls.
