Bangladesh lost due to the failure of their top order

The target was only 166 runs, and the Tigers got off to a good start. In the very first over, Tanzid Tamim and Saif hit Akeal Hosein for a six and a four, collecting 12 runs. But trouble began in the second over — on the second ball of Jayden Seales. Tamim was caught by Romario Shepherd off his delivery.

After that, one by one, Liton, Saif, Shamim, and Sohan returned to the pavilion. Half of the batting lineup was dismissed for just 57 runs. From there, it was hard to imagine Bangladesh winning against the West Indies. When Towhid Hridoy got out at 77, the defeat was almost certain.

However, the lower-order bowlers showed some fighting spirit. Tanzim Hasan Sakib scored 33 runs off 27 balls, Nasum Ahmed made 20 off 13, Taskin added 10 off 8, and Mustafizur contributed 11 off 8 balls. Before being bowled out in 19.4 overs, Bangladesh reached 149 runs.

At one point, their batting gave hope to the fans that the Tigers might even pull off a win. But in the end, Bangladesh had to leave the field with a 16-run defeat.
