Bangla Tigers to Participate in BPL

The Bangla Tigers recently won the title of the Zim-Afro T10 League. Now, the team is eager to clinch the elusive Abu Dhabi T10 title. They’ve built a strong squad and are also gearing up to participate in the BPL soon.

Bangla Tigers is the only international franchise team from Bangladesh. The team participates in various cricket leagues around the world, but has never been seen in their own country’s popular league, the BPL. However, that long wait is about to end.

Though the franchise had wanted to participate in the BPL for a long time, various obstacles prevented it from happening. However, following changes in the country’s political landscape, the franchise is now dreaming again. The Bangla Tigers want to take part in the next season of the Bangladesh Premier League.

Regarding this, franchise owner Yasin Ahmed recently told the media, “The standard of the BPL has dropped significantly. If it improves, the Bangla Tigers will definitely join the BPL. Bangladesh is our country. The Bangla Tigers are a team for Bangladeshi supporters.”

“Bangla Tigers is eager to join the BPL. This year, I had conversations with several top officials from the BCB. We are hopeful that you’ll see the Bangla Tigers in the BPL next season,” Yasin added.

Meanwhile, this year, they have built a strong team to compete for the Abu Dhabi T10 title, with Shakib Al Hasan as their icon player. They have also drafted Towhid Hridoy.

Additionally, the Bangla Tigers have signed Afghan star Rashid Khan under a direct contract. The team also includes Liam Livingstone, Dinesh Karthik, Dasun Shanaka, and Hazratullah Zazai.
