The Afghanistan cricket team unveiled their jersey for the upcoming T20 World Cup in a novel way. The Afghanistan Cricket Board uploaded a video on social media platform ‘X’, featuring Afghan children in the jersey unveiling ceremony.
The video shows children riding bicycles through the mountainous regions of the country, overcoming various obstacles to reach the Afghan cricket stadium. They bring a bowl filled with the country’s map and stones from different regions. One child places a wheat stalk into the bowl.
As soon as the wheat stalk is placed, a mysterious light spreads, and the Afghan jersey emerges from the bowl. The light blue jersey rises, and the children blow whistles to call the Afghan cricket players who are practicing in trousers and shirts.
As the players approach and touch the bowl, the jerseys magically fit onto them. The front of the jersey has “Afghanistan” written in large white letters. The players then start practicing in their new jerseys.
Afghanistan will begin their World Cup campaign on June 4th with a match against Uganda.
