West Indies to Tour Bangladesh, Series Schedule Announced

West Indies will arrive in Bangladesh in mid-October to play a three-match ODI and three-match T20I series. The matches of both formats will be held in Mirpur and Chattogram. On Tuesday (September 16), the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the schedule for the upcoming series.

The ODI series will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The first ODI will take place on October 18, followed by the remaining two ODIs on October 20 and 23.

Afterwards, both teams will travel to Chattogram for the T20I series. All three matches will be held at the Birshreshtha Flight Lt. Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium (formerly known as Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium). The first T20I will be played on October 27, while the second and third matches are scheduled for October 30 and November 1 respectively.

This upcoming series is significant for both Bangladesh and West Indies, as it could serve as the final stage of preparation before the 2026 T20 World Cup.

The mega tournament of the shortest format will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February next year, with India entering the competition as the defending champions.
